CAMP EXPERIENCES: At Explora

Each of these camps is a multi-age collaborative camp experience; Single day camps run from 9:00-4:00, $85 for members/$95 for non-members. Half-day camps run from 9:00-12:00 or 1:00-4:00, $45 for members/$55 for non-members

Explora offers a variety of Spring School’s Out programs that provide STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) engagement and enrichment. Explora offers unique investigations for a range of grade levels, in order to keep imaginations and brain cells active with STEAM!

Supervised lunchtime is included in all-day camps. Before care is available from 8 am- 9 am, and aftercare is available from 4 pm - 5:30 pm, $10 per session. Pre-register for the day or pay by the session (card only). Pre register for $20 for both before and after care on a single day.

Full day camp; 9am-4pm

Play with mirrors, prisms, lasers, and more to discover how light moves through air and water. What else can light do?

Measure Me

K-5th Grades
Full-day camp; 9am-4pm

Use balance scales, measuring cups, eyedroppers and more to explore the concept of measuring. You’ll measure out the ingredients for a snack, weigh some wacky objects, find out how tall you are, and a whole lot more.

5th-8th Grades
Full day camp; 9am-4pm

In Act 1, campers will create their characters and uncover the scientific mysteries of their world. Act 2 challenges them to solve real-world scientific problems—rooted in physics, biology, and chemistry—through hands-on experiments and teamwork. Finally, in Act 3, they’ll use everything they've learned to face an epic, story-driven challenge that puts their knowledge and problem-solving skills to the ultimate test!

Adventures in Air

Pre-K & K
Half day camp; 9am-12pm

Whoosh—Let’s explore air! Trap it in a bubble! Use it to turn pinwheels, float parachutes, and more. What can air do?

Unbelievable Bubbles

K-5th Grades
Full day camp; 9am-4pm

Explore the power of surface tension as you try out a variety of wands, build bubble sculptures, create bubble art and observe colors in bubbles.

In Act 1, campers will create their characters and uncover the scientific mysteries of their world. Full day camp; 9am-4pm

Learn where water comes from on earth, how it travels across and under land, and how it comes into our houses.  Discover various properties of water, including surface tension and density in relation to other liquids.

Explora offers a variety of week-long summer camps that inspire learners of all grade levels to get excited about science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM).  At Explora, campers preK-12th will get engaged and keep their brain cells buzzing by exploring STEAM topics in materials-rich and creative environments. Choices include in-person camps at Explora, Balloon Camp at the Anderson Abruzzo International Balloon Museum, and Farm Camp at the Agri-Nature Center in Los Ranchos. Make sure to check out our X Studio programs for teens (6th grade and above!). Let’s get curious!
