Thanks to the New Mexico Library Foundation and META, Explora has been able to support engineering programs at the Los Lunas Public Library. This week, teens at the library used an invention kit called a Makey Makey to connect everyday objects to computer keys using a circuit board, alligator clips, and a USB cable. These everyday objects then become controllers for a video game, piano keys for composing music, and more!
Thanks to META, Explora educators were able to lead a program at the library and model for the librarians how they can continue incorporating this technology into library programs. Thanks to the New Mexico Library Foundation, Explora was also able to provide the library with the materials and technology needed to continue offering this engaging engineering program with Makey Makey invention kits.
📚 CNM Study Hours Update
Our Study Hours program will be on pause for the summer. The last day to join us this semester is Friday, May 31.
We’ll be back in the fall with updated hours for the 2025–2026 school year, so be sure to check back for the new schedule!

From colorful light tunnels to rooftop views, local music, and hands-on exhibits, our space came alive with connection, creativity, and joy.
