- You can register online
- Please have the following available when you register: emergency contact name and phone numbers; name of alternate adults who can pick up the child; child’s medications, dosages, and physician’s name; child’s insurance information, as well as any allergy or special needs information for your child.
- If you need assistance, please contact reservations at reservations@explora.us or 505-600-6734 (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm).
Cancellation Policy

If a cancellation is received more than 5 business days before the camp, a refund will be issued for the amount minus a 15% administrative fee.

Cancellations received 5 business days or fewer before the camp will not be refunded.

Full fees will be refunded if Explora cancels a program

Many people wear hats, but have you ever thought about why? Test fabrics to determine which are the most water repellent, explore how hats’ forms are related to their functions, observe hats in works of art, and make original hats to wear home.
Crazy About Chromatography

Inside an ordinary black marker is a rainbow of color waiting to escape! Investigate how paper chromatography is used to separate the components of mixtures. Test colored markers, food coloring, and candy to see what unexpected colors each contains!
Drawing Nature

Become a scientific illustrator as you use grids, symmetry and more to draw your favorite animals and plants. Investigate how science and art work together as you use magnifying glasses to examine insects and plants to illustrate them.
Be a Rock Star

This isn’t about music; it’s about geology! Use microscopes and magnifying loupes to discover the main types of rocks, model the rock cycle, and perform a series of tests to unearth a mystery mineral.
Motion Picture Math

Explore Visual Perception Properties- including Persistence of Vision and Motion Perception.Apply mathematics measurement and concepts during the Zoetrope filmstrip design and optical toys.
May the Force be with You

They repulse, they attract! Experiment with pairs of magnets to find magnetic objects, create your own magnets, learn about magnets’ properties and behaviors, and find Earth’s North Pole.

Out of the Blue

How do you create a photographic image using light from the sun? Use UV sensitive chemicals that you apply to paper and manipulate variables to make your own unique print.
Trebuchet Basketball

Playing Around with Polymers

What is a polymer? Do the properties of polymers change when they’re made from different substances? We'll investigate the properties of this special material by making a number of different polymers and comparing their bounciness, stretchiness, and more.
