Join us on Saturday, November 9, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM for a special time designed for guests who appreciate a quieter, less stimulating environment. Sensory Friendly tickets will be available for advance reservation. We’ll provide sensory kits (including noise-canceling headphones, fidget tools, timers, social stories, and more), reduce noise and light (with some exhibits temporarily turned off), and offer additional calming spaces for sensory breaks. This is an ideal experience for neurodivergent visitors, newborns, and anyone looking for a more tranquil STEAM-focused museum visit!

Friday was an inspiring day at Explora & X Studio as we partnered with the UNM-HSC Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Office for the 2024 Black Health Care Careers Expo. We welcomed 182 students from 12 Black Student Unions at local high schools, giving them a glimpse into the many health care career opportunities available here in New Mexico!
Special thanks to Senator Harold Pope Jr., City Councilor Nichole Rogers, and Dr. Ndidiamaka (Didi) Okpareke of Olive Tree Pharmacy, for their guidance and mentorship. Grateful for everyone who made this day impactful!
